Promatic Clay Pigeon Shooting Competitions 2017

Town and Country Sporting Club will be hosting the Promatic Clay Pigeon Shooting Competitions at the 2017 NI Countrysports Fair at Scarvagh House on 27th & 28th May.

This year’s shoot will run two classes – classified and unclassified.  Any competitor that has been classified in the last 3 years under ICPSA, UCPSA or CPSA, must declare their classification and enter the classified shooters section.  Unclassified shooters are either game shooters or someone that has started shooting and has not yet had a classification.  All competitions can be re-entered as often as the competitor wishes.

30 Bird Sporting – £8 or two lines for £15

This year the layouts will be simulated game themed comprising of a 30 bird sporting over 3 stands.  The targets will be various types of simulated game shooting scenarios from settling duck to flushing woodcock.

Pool Trap – £3 or two lines for £5

The 12 bird pool stand will be in operation throughout the two days and will be changed twice each day.

Prize Fund – 1/3 payout twice per day to the team with the highest score.  A shoot out will apply in the case of a tie.

Two Person Driven Flush – £8 or two lines for £15

The two person driven flush will test the best of them.  Promatic are bringing one of their latest Huntman simulated game trailers across from England specifically for the show.  The trap will be elevated on a hill throwing a range of simulated game targets using midi and standard sized clays.  You may need to start your practice early to ensure you have chosen the best team mate for this event.

Prize Fund – 1/3 payout twice per day to the team with the highest score.  A shoot out will apply in the case of a tie.

Two Person Driven Rabbit – £8 or two lines for £15

The two person driven rabbit will see a range of targets, coming from different angles, to simulate bolting rabbits  .  Again this will be shot by a team of two simultaneously.  For this one you will need a keen eyed shooting partner as the targets will be fast and furious.

Prize Fund – 1/3 payout twice per day to the team with the highest score.  A shoot out will apply in the case of a tie.

100 Yard Simulated Teal – £1 per shot or 6 shots for £5

Have a go a breaking the 100 yard simulated teal targets.  Hit these targets and you’ll have a wealth of bragging rights throughout the year.

Prize Fund – 1/3 payout twice per day to anyone who hits the 100 yard target.  In the event that more than one person hits the target, a shoot-out will apply.

Returning for 2017 will be the Have-A-Go Clay Pigeon Shooting

Open to anyone aged 18 years and older who would like to try clay pigeon shooting, the have-a-go session will be £10 per person. This includes all the necessary equipment, targets and ammunition and qualified staff will be at hand to get you on target and hitting clays.

NOTE:  The above prices do not include entry to fair.

Fibre wad cartridges only are to be used for the clay pigeon shooting competitions.

Parking will be available adjacent to the Clay Pigeon Shooting area for those participating in this activity at the show.
